In DDGA, the duality that has always been part of Rico’s work, takes a more playful approach, bringing to a fantasy world real life experiences from his last couple of years. Brought to life in a fable and visual narrative filled with symbolism, DDGA searches for its own codes in feelings of pain and freedom, to represent the liberation of black affectivity and interracial LGBTQIAP+ relationships.
